About

A little about me. I’m a 19 year-old telecommunications arts major at the University of Georgia. I have been dabbling in some sort of film or animation since the sixth grade through the help of my creative compatriot John Merizalde. Together we have produced dozens of shorts that have slowly evolved with our respective skill levels. I enjoy photography along with film and believe that film is just an extension of photography into the additional dimension of time. I am a very technical individual and love fiddling with electronics and computers. This interest carries well into film which also gives me the opportunity to express my creativity leading to my love of the field.

The site name Via Torci comes from my last name – Torcivia. When translated, it means, essentially, twisting road. I find it a delightful last name, and resulting site name, as according to my experience life is nothing more than a twisting road always obscuring what lies ahead.

This site was originally created for two purposes: to show my work and share resources. Several months later I had barely accomplished either one of these goals. Fearing that this will become another dead blog polluting the Internet, I have resolved to actively update and contribute to this site and the greater Internet community. Topics will include everything I feel important but will center around film and photography.

If you need to reach me, I can be contacted through email at admin ALA viatorci.com where ALA should be replaced by @ (must fight the spam). I’ll try and get back to you as soon as possible. I’ve also infiltrated various web 2.0 sites and can be found at the following locations:

Hope this helps!
